Is this an Escher staircase? It does not seem to go all the way to the top. There is no exit. There are no banisters. Very confusing - lovely shape - but I am Eschered out.
This photo was taken in Dalat hence the hydrangeas. The staircase is a bit of an optical illusion. The top spiral is the roof with the staircase below it. The staircase finishes where the glass panels are on the right hand side of the picture, it only goes up one story. I have no idea about the inspiration, Escher or otherwise. but I did find it very impressive
