Kutcher, Just bumped into JB who gave me your blog, nice photo of the sprog and the eels as well. Life looks like it is treating you well in Saigon, I'll setup a temp email and put on your blog so that I don't get 6,758,125 porn emails for viagra and slug extensions, then again may come in handy ( no pun intended).
eel may look ew perhaps we've been conditioned by those slimey images associated with snakes and the likes, thus not everyone would have the "courage" to slither down those serpentine fishes down our throat :), trust me eel meat is delicious (at least for me)!!!! grilled eel or eel is sauteed in salt, sugar, fish sauce, lemon grass (I don't know when the lemon grass is added in the process...), then slow cook until it caramelized, then serve with rice. you'll have a yummy meal!!!
