A noodle stall being unpacked and preparing for the dinner trade. It always impresses me how much stuff they can squeeze into the trolleys

A very standard male-dominated Vietnamese tradition is to sit in the shade by the side of the road, sip a coffee, share a smoke and swap stories with your brethren.

This lady sells noodles and drinks, all from the mobile stall on the left. I am always impressed at the semi-permanent things these stalls have, such as the retractable awning above if it rains. This picture was taken between lunch and dinner, so am not sure how popular it is
