These streetscapes always leave me miffed. On first inspection they look old, crappy and unconnected. But when you look at some of the designs, art deco on the left and the new modernist one under construction, you are left with the feeling that there is an interest in design as well as functionality. How that relates to faux brick place on the far place remains a mystery however.
I like your street of odd buildings, little shops, businesses and small home apartments, with what looks like a burglar on the balcony of one.
Everyone seems to have a bike or motor cycle.
