Mountains and clouds

HCMC and Hà Nội are based around two great river deltas, the Red and Mekong rivers. The landscape is incredibly flat, so much so that the majority of "hills" usually consist of the on-ramps to bridges. People like myself who spend most of their time in and around the deltas forget the Vietnam has some incredible mountain ranges. This photo is of a range between Đà Lạt and Nha Trang

This is a magical view. Is that smoke or fog/mist?

Misty mountains! So majestic and peaceful at the same time. Love this, thank you.

That looks a world away from the roundabout photo of two days ago

Were the hills alive with the sound of music?

Lovely!
I remember after being in Hanoi for quite some time, my lungs felt like exploding when we took a trip out of the city.
I love your pictures.

You have one of the most informative blogs from Vietnam. Unlike many expat blogs, you don't concentrate on the drinking and the local women. I sense you truly try to understand the mysteries of the East and appreciate the local peoples without complaints. You seem more French than Anglophone in that sense! I'm an American expat who has lived on and off in Vietnam for many years.
