Is there a fine for crossing the white line before the light goes green?

I thought they put out the new helmet law that requires children to wear helmets. Look at how many children not wearing helmets in this picture.

Yep Ba - kids not wearing helmets is still a disgrace. Especially the younger ones where parents keep claiming their are no helmets available to accommodate smaller sized heads.

One thing I noticed last year when I was there is there was always a last second speeding motorbike zooming across the intersection ( those few that actually had lights) well after the light had turned red, so my rule of survival was waiting 2 seconds after my light turned green before proceeding.
BTW, Simon, you seem to be always in the searching mode for that good cup of coffee as your previous blogs indicated. Have you ever tried Cafe Brio ( located in a shopping mall on Dong Khoi St, across from a KFC)? They were brewing Cafe Indochine brand that was mighty tasty. I was quite disappointed with the coffee in Saigon in general.

I like Highland Coffee. You can find it anywhere in Saigon.
